Charlotte is now home and doing better, but she will continue taking antibiotics for her pneumonia for a few more days. We’re trying to keep her comfortable giving her pain killer as needed while praying for God to fully heal her pancreatitis and pneumonia.
For months now, Charlotte’s knees have been pulled up toward her chest and leaning severely to the left due to her hypertonia. We can no longer fully straighten her legs out, and it pains her when we move them. While Charlotte was at the hospital, the doctors x-rayed her hips to see if her hips were dislocated or if her femurs were fractured. They discovered no fractures or dislocations, but her left hip has subluxation (a condition where the hip is becoming loose toward dislocation due to spasticity). The doctors and her PT have given us some recommendations and guidance that may help us to gently correct her posture. Please pray that we will be successful as this issue can cause her discomfort.
Whatever pains she may suffer, it will not be forever; we have full confidence that God’s healing will be wonderful and worth any trials faced on earth. We hope that all afflicted can find peace thinking of how wonderful heaven is and how our stay on earth is so short compared to eternity. Thank you for all your continued prayers. God is only good.
